The Oscar -winning actress makes her long -awaited return to television in a regular role as standard.
The actress and Oscar -winning director, following an extended series of negotiations, was used to play during the fourth season of HBO True Detective. Foster will also be credited as an executive producer of anthology.
Season four of True Detective, nicknamed Night Country, remains in the development stages, although the casting of Foster certainly has a formal series Green Light, except a fact. Here is how HBO describes the real detective: Night Country: “When the long winter night falls in Ennis, in Alaska, the six men who exploit the Arctic research station Tsalal disappear without trace. To resolve the case, detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will have to face the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into haunted truths which are buried under eternal ice. »»
Foster will play Liz Danvers. Additional details on the character were not immediately available.
Issa Lopez (Tigers are not afraid of side effects) will write the scripts with Alan Page Arriaga (Girls Shining, fear the dead) also on board as a writer. Lopez is attached to several episodes of realization, including the pilot. The two executives produce alongside Barry Jenkins and its Pastel banner Adele Romanski and Mark Cryyak. Anonymous content is the drama studio. Executive producers also include Mari Jo Winkler and the real stars of the real detective and executive producers Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Cary Joji Fukunaga and the creator Nic Pizzolatto are also credited like EPs, but none will be involved in the creation of season four.
True Detective: Night Country marks Foster’s biggest television role since she started her career as a child model and appeared in Mayberry RFD, Napoleon and Samantha and the Nuptial Parade of the father of Eddie, among others. In recent years, Foster has played a vocal role in the Simpsons. Foster won the victories of the best actress Oscar for the accused and the silence of the lambs.
